This course is designed for beginners. It is also appropriate for anyone wanting to refresh their understanding of Mindfulness or to re-establish their meditation practice. If you have had trouble being consistent in meditation, taking a class can be a good way to energize and re-dedicate yourself. In this course we will learn to work with body, mind, thoughts, and emotions.
Each class includes teaching, written instructions, guided meditations, and time for Q&A. These practices can be done by anyone, regardless of their spiritual tradition. After the classes end, students are encouraged to attend a weekly meeting, offered at no cost, where they can ask questions and find support for maintaining their meditation practice.
Classes meet weekly on Zoom. When you submit your registration form, you will see the message: You have successfully registered. You will receive an email with the Zoom link for class and a short reading to prepare for the first meeting a few days prior to the class. If possible, please register at least one day prior to the first class so that you will have time to complete the short reading.
There is a suggested donation of $60 which covers the four classes. Any amount is gratefully accepted. Your practice of generosity makes it possible for those of limited means to participate in the class.
